SAF launches airstrikes on villages in South Kordofan
The Sudanese air forces (SAF) launched air strikes on the villages of Karko and Fenda in Dilling county of South Kordofan yesterday morning. The strikes resulted in the death of a woman and injuring another. Sultan Khamis Soba told Radio Dabanga that an Antonov plane dropped eight bombs in the two villages. The air strikes caused the destruction of homes and farms as well as causing the deaths of a number of livestock. The Sultan denounced the attack, noting that the government in Khartoum did not even respect the holy month of Ramadan and stressed that there are no SPLM troops present in the two villages. He called upon the United Nations (UN) and other international organizations to intervene and protect the civilians from the regime’s attacks.
