SAF bombs refugee camp in South Sudan

The refugee camp that was attacked held 16,000 refugees from the conflict stricken areas of Nuba Mountains and South Kordofan.Arno said, “The SAF dropped four bombs that fell near a school inside the camp. Three of the bombs exploded in the presence of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) staff.”He added that though the raids did not cause any deaths or casualties, it raised panic among the refugees. “I condemn the government’s targeting and prosecution of refugees who are fleeing from the horrors of Sudan to another country,” he said.Arno demanded the international community intervene immediately to protect refugees who sought refuge in neighboring countries and to pressure the government to stop air strikes and targeting of refugees.
