S. Darfur governor insists that tribes sign peace charter
Abdel Hamid Musa Kasha, governor south of Darfur, announced the completion of a charter of honor that includes penalties for violators, which he expects all the leaders of the tribes in South Darfur to sign. Kasha said earlier this week that upon signing the charter will become legally binding and will be signed again in front of the President of the Republic.

The state has been particularly affected this year by feuding between Rizeigat and Misseriya fighters; a high-level reconciliation deal in June failed to stem the violence.
