Repeated herders’ attacks in Korma
Farmers from the village of Kofoat in Korma rural area, North Darfur, complained to Radio Dabanga on Sunday November 11 about the repeated attacks by camel herders on their farms.A farmer told Radio Dabanga that herders have left their camels to graze on their farmlands west of Kofoat, adding that the grazing caused large losses. He explained that the farmers notified the local authorities as well as the government’s armed forces in the region’s garrison, but nothing has been done yet. He appealed to the state and local authorities for an immediate intervention to keep the herders away from their farms, adding to Radio Dabanga they are about to start the harvest.
