Renewed clashes in Khor Ramla, W. Darfur
Hundreds of citizens have fled Khor Ramla near Nerteti to Zalingei and Kass after renewed fighting between the Misseriya and Nawayba. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga the renewed clashes caused the arrival of dozens of wounded people in the hospitals of Kass and Zalingei. One witness said he saw another big group of displaced persons on the outskirts of Khor Ramla. Mubarak al Duma, one of the elders of the Misseriya, urged the government to intervene and resolve the conflict between the parties. He told Radio Dabanga that there were efforts made to settle the conflict and achieve reconciliation between the two tribes but these attempts failed. He warned of renewed fighting and the spread of chaos in the area.
