Displaced in Tabit, North Darfur, receive aid
Two lorries with food and other relief items arrived in the area of Tabit, Tawila locality in North Darfur on Friday.
A villager who fled militia attacks south of Tabit last week told Radio Dabanga that one lorry was loaded with sorghum and millet, and the other with blankets. There were also plastic sheets for constructing makeshift shelters, and jerrycans to fetch water with.

The relief items were donated by the Qatari Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services, popularly known as RAF.
An employee said that the goods will be distributed on Saturday.
The displaced expressed their thanks for the aid and requested other organisations to join the effort.
More than 7,000 people fled militia attacks on villages in the area south of Tabit on 2 and 3 December. They suffer from a lack of food and from the cold as they live in the open air without food, medicines, or cover.
Three children reportedly died of exhaustion and the cold on 5 December. On Thursday, the death of a fourth child was reported.
