Rape victim bleeds to death in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra
The youngest of the three women gang-raped on Friday by militiamen in Dubo El Omda, East Jebel Marra, has bled to death. “Mawadda Saleh Yagoub died on Sunday of genital laceration and severe bleeding”, a relative of the victim told Dabanga.
“As medical care is non-existent in the area, and we could not transport her to a clinic or hospital, with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) surrounding the place, she bled to death,” he explained.

On Friday morning, after having collected water from the Dubo El Omda well, Yagoub and two other women were ambushed by seven RSF troops in a vehicle. The men raped the women alternately at gunpoint.
