Rain destroys 80 homes in Sirba camp, West Darfur
Torrential rains on Sunday caused considerable damage to the displaced living in the Armenkul camp in Sirba locality, West Darfur. “More than 80 shelters were destroyed by the downpours on Sunday. Floods washed away the scarce belongings of many camp residents”, the coordinator of the Sirba camps reported to Radio Dabanga. “The people affected by the rains are currently living in the open, without shelter, food, or cover.” The coordinator appealed to aid organisations to help out “as soon as possible”.
