The Sudanese People Liberation Movement, Abu Bakar Kadu-faction (SPLM), reported to Radio Dabanga, that fierce fighting broke out between SPLA forces and the Sudanese army, composed of militia and Popular Defense forces in Al Defrah, South Kordofan.
The Sudanese People Liberation Movement, Abu Bakar Kadu-faction (SPLM), reported to Radio Dabanga, that fierce fighting broke out between SPLA forces and the Sudanese army, composed of militia and Popular Defense forces in Al Defrah, South Kordofan.Jawdat Abdulla, spokesman of SPLM (Abu Bakar Kadu-faction) told Radio Dabanga, that their forces had defeated government troops, had killed and wounded 50 troops, while two of their own soldiers got killed, and one was captured by army forces.
Radio Dabanga was unable to contact the army for comments. The authenticity of the fighting incident could not be verified, either, from independent sources in the region.
