Pharmacy in Central Darfur’s Um Dukhun still closed
The only pharmacy in Um Dukhun has still not re-opened its doors.
Last Thursday, the pharmacy that provides the residents of the Central Darfur town with medicines covered by the health insurance, closed after a militia commander had assaulted an employee.
“The pharmacy worker sustained a serious eye injury,” a listener reported to Radio Dabanga.
“On behalf of the population of Um Dukhun,” he said, “I appeal to the authorities to arrest militia commander Eisa Bashir, who is still wreaking havoc in the town without being held accountable, and bring him to trial, so that the pharmacy of Um Dukhun can resume its activity.”
