Passenger lorry ambushed in Central Darfur

A passenger lorry was ambushed on the Zalingei-Nierteti road in Central Darfur on Sunday. A number of the passengers were injured when they were robbed of their belongings. One of the injured told Radio Dabanga that the Janjaweed attacked them while they were on their way from Zalingei to Nierteti’s weekly market on Sunday morning. They were beaten and whipped. The gunmen robbed them of all their money, mobile phones and luggage. Two of the passengers were seriously injured, Haroun Aisa Abbakar and Adam Mohamed.
