Opposition party HQ in West Kordofan raided again, six detained
Security forces detained six leaders of the Sudanese Congress Party (SCP) in En Nahud, West Kordofan, on Friday, including Secretary-General Samia Kiir, who was released the day before. “Police forces and elements of government militias on Friday stormed the SCP headquarters, where we were celebrating the release of Samia Kiir”, Bakri Yousif, the spokesman for the SCP told Radio Dabanga. “Apart from Samia Kiir, they captured five other party leaders: Ali Abu Sitta, Mutasim Yahya Ahmed, Osama El Dei El Nur, Asem Hamad, and Abdel Aziz Adam. We do not know where they are being held.” Yousif appealed to human rights organisations to stand by the detainees, and put pressure on the government to release all political detainees in Sudan.
