Oil engineers murdered in West Kordofan
Two engineers working in the oil industry have been killed while inspecting wells in the Baliala oil field on Tuesday.

A source from Petro Energy told Radio Dabanga that engineers Mohannad Mustafa Saeed and Mohamed Sheikh Idris Ahmad were found shot dead at the Kyi area of Baliala oil field in in El Salam locality in West Kordofan. They were working at the production and development department at Petro Energy, and were carrying out a routing tour of wells and installations.
The attacker stole the engineers’ vehicle, which appears to be the motive for the murder. As yet, no trace of the vehicle has been found. Petro Energy has dispatched a private jet to the oil field to transport the bodies of the victims to Khartoum.
A suspect has been identified and a manhunt is underway, but no arrests have yet been made.
