North Kordofan detainee dies in custody

The beaten body of a man arrested during a Public Order campaign in El Obeid, capital of North Kordofan, last week, has been found in the city.

It is alleged that Fathi Hammad died under torture in a cell of the Public Order police in El Obeid.

One of the relatives of the deceased man said that Hammad was arrested during a Public Order campaign and was found dead the next day.

A medical report has proved that he had died after a severe beating.
