North Darfur security detains students in El Fasher

Three students were detained in North Darfur’s capital El Fasher on Wednesday. Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a listener reported that security agents and members of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in two vehicles stopped a passengers’ lorry at the western El Fasher Jebel Port on Wednesday morning. “They searched the passengers, coming from East Jebel Mara, and detained three students, who had visited their families in Fanga, west of Tawila town. They were taken to an unknown location.” The source said that the government forces were commanded by Yousef Abdelmajid Ahmed, “who comes from the area of Tarny in East Jebel Marra”. The detained are Adam Hamid Musa, Mubashir Saleh Mohamed, students at the University of El Fasher, and Yagoub Adam Eisa, student at the University of Khartoum.
