North Darfur children burn to death in raid

Two children and an adult were burned to death in a raid by militiamen on the village of Masalit, 12 kilometres west of Tabit in North Darfur on Saturday.

Zahra Ibrahim Saleh (5), Hamoody Hussein (8), and Aisha Yusuf Ibrahim, died when a group of militiamen riding camels raided the village a 9 am.

They attackers whipped and beat the villagers, and robbed them of their money, possessions, and cattle. A witness told Radio Dabanga that he saw the two children die when the attackers torched the village before fleeing.
