New North Darfur government announced
North Darfur Governor Osman Yousif Kibir, announced the formation of his new government in El Fasher on Tuesday. The new government will consist of nine Ministers, 18 commissioners, four advisors, and four more commissioners at the state headquarters. Five councils will be formed, including a high council for local government, information, culture, investment, lands and nomadic affairs, and a council for the development of human resources. In a press release, the Governor attributed the delay in the formation of his government to the security situation in the state. He explained that the aim of the formation of the new government is “to prepare opportunities for new elements for the upcoming elections”.
