New health projects for war-torn families in Blue Nile

Pan-Care International has announced a plan to implement a health emergency project targeting 13,000 conflict-affected families in Sudan's Blue Nile state.

Yassin Abdelhamid Abukadok, director of Pan-Care, told the Sudanese News Agency (Suna) that the project includes a mobile clinic, a laboratory, and a pharmacy.

Pan-Care International already distributed blankets, mosquito nets, and water containers to people in the areas of Deim Saad and Villages 3 and 5 with support from the World Health Organisation.

Abukadok said that other health projects will be implemented by the organisation in various parts of the state soon.

In late August, the Sudanese Humanitarian Aid Commissioner in Blue Nile state, Asad Hamza Adam, said the conflict-affected people were in need of food and shelter. Affected people from the Engassana Mountains still need more humanitarian assistance.
