New Fur leader heads local administration in W. Darfur
Ismail Mohamed Bashar was Monday in Garsila inaugurated as shartai of the administration of Zami Toya (a Fur tribal area, or shartaya, in Bindizi – Arawala in Wadi Saleh in West Darfur). He was elected by unanimous decision of the leaders of the native administration in the local communities to succeed his father, the late shartai Mohamed Bashar Ahmed.
