Native leaders denounce government war mobilisation
Native administration representatives of the Misseriya and Nuba in South Kordofan have denounced governor Ahmed Haroun’s statement, ordering Sudanese soldiers to kill war hostages The representatives also demanded that citizens of South Kordofan do not respond to the government’s mobilisation for war. Sultan Khamis Soba told Radio Dabanga that Nuba and Misseriya of Dilling met and agreed to settle issues in the area, allowing a grounding for common interests. He added that they visited most Misseriya and Nuba villages, sat down with residents and agreed that the ongoing war is a war of the ruling National Congress Party in which they have no interest or part to play.
