Murder, rape, robbery in Tawila, North Darfur
A herder was shot dead near Tabit in Tawila locality, North Darfur, on Saturday. Two women were gang-raped in southern Tawila, popularly known as East Jebel Marra. A group of militiamen plundered the village of Koto on the same day.
A relative of the victim told Radio Dabanga that a group of militiamen attacked Adam Mahmoud Arbab in the area of Tayarat, south of Tabit, when was grazing his cattle.

A relative of the victim told Radio Dabanga that a group of militiamen attacked Adam Mahmoud Arbab in the area of Tayarat, south of Tabit, when was grazing his cattle.
“They shot him dead on the spot, and stole his 84 cows,” he said.
Arbab's relatives and policemen formed a search party “to hunt down the murderers”. Yet, the attackers ambushed the team, whereby Ishag Yousuf Omar sustained serious bullet wounds.
Rape
A group of militiamen intercepted two women who were on their way from Daly village to Shangil Tobaya in Tawila locality on Saturday morning, a relative of them informed Radio Dabanga.
When one of the women resisted, one of the attackers beat her on her head before they raped her alternately. She is currently receiving treatment for the deep head wound in Shangil Tobaya.
Robbery
The source added that another group of militiamen attacked the village of Koto, and beat and whipped the villagers, mostly women. Eight of the women sustained serious injuries.
He said that the attackers fired in the air before they plundered the village.
