Mother and son die in Darfur grenade blast
A young mother and her child died when a grenade detonated in the area of El Aradeib El Ashara, East Jebel Marra, on Monday.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, a relative of the victims reported that Rawda Yahya Omar (22) was tending her farm near El Aradeib El Ashara, about 15 kilometres east of Fanga. She was carrying her son, Abdelhamid Hamid (12 months), on her back.
When she touched the grenade, it detonated and instantly killed her and her son.
