More than 300 shelters destroyed by rains in Central Darfur camps
Heavy rainfall in Central Darfur on Friday and Saturday destroyed at least 316 shelters in the Nierteti camps for the displaced.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga from the Southern Nierteti camp, a camp sheikh reported that 112 homes collapsed in Khor Ramla, Garsila, and the Northern and Southern Nierteti camps. At least 204 homes in the other camps fell-down as well.
The sheikh said that inventory is still ongoing. The affected families are now living in the open.
