More Sudan forces arrive in Yemen
A new military battalion of Sudanese forces reached the Yemeni city of Aden on Monday in order to participate in the Saudi-led military campaign against the Houthi rebels, according to military sources on Monday.
They told several Yemeni media that the battalion is made up of 400 officers and soldiers. They will join the Arab alliance in the ‘Decisive Storm operation’ against the Houthis.
According to Sudan Tribune, the Sudanese army has not commented on the reports.
Hundreds of Sudanese troops arrived in Aden on 17 October. Aden became the seat of the Yemeni government earlier this year after the Shiite Houthis, based in northern Yemen, seized the capital Sanaa, and forced President Abdelrabbo Mansour Hadi to flee to the south.
