More bombs fall on East Jebel Marra

A woman lost her hands and both legs when an Antonov aircraft bombed areas south of Vanaga in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra on Monday.

A witness told Radio Dabanga that the Antonov circled the area for an hour and a half, and dropped a total of seven barrel bombs.

“Sarah Ibrahim Hamed had her hands and legs blown off in one of the blasts. Numerous lifestock were killed, and tracts of farmland destroyed by the ensuing fires,” he said.

The latest bombing gas struck terror and fear into the region’s population. Many have fled to the nearby valleys and mountains for shelter.
