Militiamen spring comrades in Central Darfur raid
Militiamen raided the police station of Deleig in Central Darfur on Sunday morning and released a number of their comrades.
Listeners told Radio Dabanga that a group of militiamen riding camels and horses attacked the prison at 10 am on Sunday. Their heavy firing into the air caused the police who were present to flee, after which the attackers freed a number of detainees.
The army commander of the area, Mohamed Adam, tracked the offenders. In the ensuing gunfight three of his troops were wounded.
