Militiamen attack, car-jack vehicles in North Darfur
A militia ambushed and injured employees of a farmers’ association in Kabkabiya locality, North Darfur, on Wednesday. A witness told Radio Dabanga that “pro-government militia elements riding on the backs of camels and horses” attacked a vehicle carrying four employees of the small-scale farmers’ association at Khor Ardaba in the afternoon. The employees were on their way from Torgo after holding a workshop. “The gunmen beat and severely whipped the staff, and caused them varying injuries.” They were transferred to a hospital in Kabkabiya for treatment. In Kutum locality, militiamen car-jacked the locality commissioner’s car on Wednesday morning, and abducted his driver and two guards.
