Militiamen attack, abduct woman in Kutum, North Darfur

Elements of a pro-government militia have abducted a woman in Disa in Kutum locality, North Darfur, on Thursday. The mother of a four months old baby is called Maida Yousif Nureldin. One of her relatives told Radio Dabanga that the gunmen, riding on the backs of camels and horses, attacked two women and a minor when they were on their way from Disa, north of Kutum, to Kadjo area after shopping. They captured Nureldin during the attack, throwing her baby on the ground. The other woman and her daughter managed to escape. The relative said that the militia elements took her to Gubba area, a stronghold for the militias of Musa Hilal, the leader of a large group of government-armed Arab militias (Janjaweed).
