Militant Abbala wreak havoc in North Darfur’s El Sareif Beni Hussein

Militant Abbala tribesmen killed a citizen in the area of Amarjadeed, El Sareif Beni Hussein locality in North Darfur on Sunday. On Saturday, they pillaged the village of Mileisa. “On Sunday, Abbala shot dead Ahmed Abakar Abdel Rasoul in the area of Amarjadeed, El Sareif Beni Hussein locality. They took his motorcycle, and left, firing into the air, frightening the people in the area immensely”, a resident of Amarjadeed told Radio Dabanga. The source added that Abbala returning from Hijeir Tigeiteeg stole 50 horses and donkeys from the area of Markuba and the surrounding villages on Saturday. “They also robbed farmers in the area of all their agricultural tools and food supplies.” “The people in the area are living in a constant state of fear and tension because of the repeated attacks by Abbala militants,” he said. Mileisa village Speaking to Radio Dabanga from Mileisa, a villager reported that Abbala stormed the village, located south of Wadi Bari, on Saturday. “After clashing with Beni Hussein farmers in the area of Hijeir Tigeiteeg last week, the Abbala stormed our village. They assaulted the people in the streets, and beat them with their whips. 13 villagers sustained various injuries.
