Merger of SLM-AW & Democratic Revolutionary Front

The Democratic Revolutionary Front headed by Salah Abu Elsura yesterday announced its merger with the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) headed by Abdul Wahid Al Nur. In a joint statement, Abdul Wahid and Abu Elsura announced their unification. They agreed on rebuilding the country of Sudan on a democratic, secular, liberal and federal basis and separating religion from the issues of the nation. The agreement confirmed that the purpose of the unity is a comprehensive change to the regime of the ruling National Congress Party.
