Merchant murdered in North Darfur capital
A group of gunmen killed a merchant in the North Darfur capital of El Fasher on Saturday evening. Another group of militiamen stole a donkey in Tur in Central Darfur.
Speaking to Radio Dabanga, lawyer Mohamed Ibrahim Adam reported that two men on a motorcycle intercepted merchant Haidar Abdelrahman Jalaleldin when he was returning home at about 9 pm.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, lawyer Mohamed Ibrahim Adam reported that two men on a motorcycle intercepted merchant Haidar Abdelrahman Jalaleldin when he was returning home at about 9 pm.
“They attempted to rob Jalaleldin. When he resisted them, one of the men took a knife and stabbed him several times. They then took all his belongings, firing into the air.”
The victim was taken to the Royal Hospital of El Fasher where he succumbed to his wounds.
The source added that the police are still searching for the perpetrators.
Donkey
A community leader told Radio Dabanga from Tur that “a group of about 13 militiamen suddenly began firing in the air in the Tur North district on Saturday.
“They then stormed the house of Abdelrahman Yousef Salami and robbed him of his donkey at gunpoint.”
