Meeting Sadig El Mahdi with Sudan Revolutionary Front postponed
The National Umma Party (NUP) announced that the meeting of its leader, Imam Sadiq El Mahdi, with the leaders of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (an alliance of Sudanese opposition groups and political parties), scheduled to take place in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, has been postponed. According to a NUP statement, issued on Thursday, the meeting was postponed due to “the non-completion of preparatory steps in order to achieve the meeting’s objectives.” The statement stressed the party’s continued direct contacts with the SRF leadership until the required preparations for the meeting are settled.
