Market and food burned in Kutum, North Darfur
A fire in a market in Fata Borno in Kutum locality, North Darfur, on Monday evening, destroying a number of shops and large amounts of food. A market trader told Radio Dabanga that the fire broke out at 10 pm and damaged “more than 14 shops and a restaurant”. He said that large amounts of goods that were burned are currently being counted. “The goods include sugar, flour, oil, millet, and sorghum, as well as other consumer goods. “The loss is estimated at thousands of Sudanese pounds.” The trader did not know what caused the fire in the market.
