Man killed, son wounded by robbers in South Darfur
A man was killed and his son wounded in an armed robbery in the area of Dalal Angara, El Salam locality in South Darfur on Monday. “A group of 35 government-backed militiamen on camels and horses looted seven shops along the Nyala-Dalal Angara road, on Monday at about 1.30pm,” a resident of Dalal Angara reported to Radio Dabanga. “They took sugar, flour, and cooking oil from the stores. They stole SDG5,200 ($900) from Adam Eisa El Sheikh’s shop, and ten mobile phones from Sadig Ahmed Abdallah. After that they stormed the house of Daoud Abdallah Musa (65), where they fired at him and his son (12). Musa died instantly and his son was hit in his right hand. Then they stormed the house of Ahmed Mohamed Ishag, and took his donkey and cart.” File photo
