Lorry hijacked, driver abducted in East Darfur
Militiamen hijacked a lorry en route from Ed Daein, the capital of East Darfur, to En Nahud in West Kordofan on Saturday. The owner of the lorry, Ahmed El Haj Malek, reported to Radio Dabanga that 13 militiamen wearing military uniforms hijacked his vehicle in the area of Badi, near Abu Karinka in East Darfur. They also abducted the driver, Abu Bakar El Haj. Malek said that the gunmen robbed the passengers of their money and mobile phones before they freed them, taking the lorry and its driver to an unknown destination.
