Thirst among livestock in Darfur’s East Jebel Marra
Livestock in East Jebel Marra may die of thirst, as Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have occupied the water wells in the area.
A number of livestock owners told Dabanga that elements of the RSF militia stationed in the area, are denying them access to the wells of Zinkiya, Barkaro, Ankeroya, and Dubo El Omda.
“Those militiamen threaten to kill anyone who approaches the water sources,” they reported. “About 2,700 people may lose their livestock.”
