Killings and arson by pro government militias in North Darfur
Tens of families were displaced from the Sag El Naam and Abodliq areas, south-east of Al Fashir, North Darfur, after attacks from pro government militias. These families were brought in the past two days to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Zam Zam camp and to the Abuzeraiga area. An IDP told Radio Dabanga that they were displaced from the area due to killings, looting and arson caused by pro government militias. The militias also destroyed water resources, grain mills and burned markets. In the last two weeks more than five people were killed and the Sag El Naam market was burned. Sources claim these areas may be fully abandoned by people soon.
