Kass residents complain of neglect and insecurity
Residents in Kass locality in South Darfur have complained of neglect and a general atmosphere of insecurity pervading the environment. A resident said there are some police in the area but they tend not to respond to incidents. People are being forced to protect themselves. He also said the region is suffering from a lack of drinking water and health care, with not a single hospital or health centre serving the area. He said there are also more than a 1000 children of school age not in school as it is practically non existent. The resident appealed to the responsible authorities to respond urgently to the needs of the area.
