The Justice and Equality Movement handed over 13 prisoners of the Sudanese army to the International Committee of the Red Cross yesterday. An official file in the Humanitarian Affairs department of the movement, Muhammad Ali Mohammadein, said that most of the prisoners are from ‘marginalized areas.’ Mohammadein said that their release is for humanitarian reasons and he called on the Sudanese army to emulate the position of the Egyptian army, who he said stood by the people in their revolution.
