Infant mortality rises in Kalma after health agencies halt work

Displaced people in Kalma camp revealed that 8 deaths occurred in center 6.7 during the current week. They say that infant mortality is higher due to the halt of work of organizations in the camp. A sheikh from the camp told Radio Dabanga that the health crisis would be rated as catastrophic in the camp if not solved because health centers and hospitals belonging to aid organizations have not been working for the last two weeks.

The camp is also suffering a water crisis. The sheikh called on the organizations and international community to expedite aid to the camp to save the victims.
