Huge fire destroys 336 houses near Nyala, S. Darfur
A huge fire destroyed 336 houses in the area of Halouf in South Darfur on Saturday, sources said, noting the flames also led to the death of 15 goats. Residents of Halouf, located 40 kilometers north of Nyala, are “living out in the open amid a pile of ash”, eyewitnesses told Radio Dabanga. Some citizens managed to find living space at the village’s school, but stressed that authorities of Nyala are neglecting the others.
