Homes collapsed in Wadi Saleh
Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed, Deleij camp resident, died on Thursday September 13 when his house collapsed in Wadi Saleh Locality, Central Darfur. Ahmed’s house collapsed as a result of the heavy rains in the area. Ismail Borro Ahmed Abdullah, Deleij camp leader, reported that the torrential rains of last Thursday continued for more than eight hours and led to the death of 85 year old Ibrahim Saleh Ahmed and the destruction of 14 homes.He warned that more houses are at risk of collapsing, especially if the rain continues. He appealed to humanitarian organizations to intervene and provide aid to those in need.
