Hay cutter murdered for machete in South Darfur

A construction worker has been shot dead in the city of Turr in Kass locality, South Darfur.

Witnesses told Radio Dabanga that three militiamen attempted to rob Ibrahi Nur of the machetes he uses to cut hay for construction. When he refused, they shot him three times in the head.

Nur died on the spot. Bystanders managed to arrest one of the perpetrators and handed him over to the local police. The other two suspects escaped.
