Govt. militia strip Darfur’s Jebel Marra of livestock
Paramilitaries of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) reportedly stole large numbers of livestock in the eastern part of Jebel Marra.
Victims told Radio Dabanga that a group of RSF troops in seven Land Cruisers took “about 700 camels, cows, sheep, goats, and even donkeys” with them to Um El Gura on Saturday.

Victims told Radio Dabanga that a group of RSF troops in seven Land Cruisers took “about 700 camels, cows, sheep, goats, and even donkeys” with them to Um El Gura on Saturday.
On Sunday, another militia group stole 45 sheep and goats from the villages of Kadareek.
The village of Kanjourtinga, north of Tabit in the adjacent Tawila locality, was attacked by militiamen on Saturday morning. “They threatened us and then robbed us of all our livestock including the hens,” a villager reported.
From Wednesday until Friday, government forces launched a major attack on villages and rebel fighters of the Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdelwahid El Nur (ALM-AW), in Jebel Marra.
Thousands of villagers were displaced. The rebel SLM-AW claimed victory over a military convoy in the western part of Jebel Marra.
On Saturday and Sunday, Radio Dabanga received no reports of ground-based military operations in Jebel Marra other than aerial bombing. Villagers reported that the convoys with government troops that attempted to enter Jebel Marra from the east and the west withdrew.
