French embassy in Chad consults with Darfur refugees on security
A delegation from the security department of the French embassy in Chad consulted with Darfur refugees at Farshana Camp in eastern Chad. The French delegation wanted to assess the security situation in and around the camp and learn about the options of the refugees, whether to return or stay.

The French delegation wanted to assess the security situation in and around the camp and learn about the options of the refugees, whether to return or stay.One of the elders at the camp told Radio Dabanga that the embassy delegation toured parts of the camp before holding consultations with representatives of the refugees. Their questions focused on the security situation and whether armed movements were recruiting children in the camp or not. According to the sheikh, the refugees described a problematic security situation outside the camp, but no recruitment of child soldiers.
