Former South Darfur commissioner murdered
The former Commissioner of El Radoom locality in South Darfur was killed by unidentified gunmen on Wednesday morning.
At dawn, four gunmen stormed the house of Abdelsadig Sharif in the area of Gibibeish in El Radoom locality, 15 kilometres south of Buram, and fired a barrage of bullets at him.
The current commissioner, Osman Ramadan, told the press later that day that Sharif died a few hours after his arrival at Buram Hospital.
In July 2014, the Commissioner of South Darfur’s Katila locality, Abdallah Yassin, was shot dead as he was on his way from the state capital Nyala to the locality with employee salaries.
