Five Sudanese soldiers die in ‘friendly fire’ clash
Five members of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have been killed in a ‘friendly fire’ incident between Dibebat and Dilling in South Kordofan state. Via a statement to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on 14 November, SAF spokesman, Col. El Sawarmi Khalid, announced that the incident occurred when a force securing the Commissioner of Dibebat erroneously opened fire on a SAF patrol.This “limited mistaken and unintended clash between two parties of regular forces” resulted in the death of five men, Col.
