Five passengers shot dead in East Darfur

Five passengers were killed in a shooting on a vehicle west of Ed Daein in East Darfur on Wednesday.

Gunmen opened fire on a vehicle near Ghazala Jawazat in East Darfur, killing five passengers. Among the dead are Hasan El Toum, El Jacka Ismail Yousif, a person named Zakariya, Rashida Hassan Ahmed and another woman whose name was not identified by a relative of one of the victims.

He told Radio Dabanga the next day that the gunmen drove a Land Cruiser that came from the direction of Seleia at about 3pm.

Five wounded passengers were taken to the hospital in Ed Daein.

The relative did not report that the gunmen robbed the victims.
