Five die in collision near North Darfur capital

A witness from Zamzam reported that the commercial vehicle carrying several passengers collided with an Ural vehicle of the Sudan Armed Forces near the entrance to El Fasher. The collision killed five passengers outright, including two women and one of their babies.
Sirba, West Darfur
Three armed men wearing military uniforms robbed a commercial vehicle on its way from Sirba to Kolbus on Saturday morning, the Sirba camps coordinator told Radio Dabanga. The militants opened fire on a Land Cruiser, carrying consumer goods and passengers, seriously wounding the driver.
They hijacked the vehicle after forcing all passengers out. The joint Sudanese-Chadian soldiers pursued the culprits and managed to return the vehicle safely. The wounded driver was transferred to El Geneina hospital.
