Fire engulfs school in Zamzam camp

It spread to the staff room and destroyed a lot of documents stored there. An activist in the camp told Radio Dabanga that this was the second such incident in this week. Last week, a fire engulfed two classrooms of Al Salaam “19” secondary school.The activist raised suspicion of sabotage in the fire incidents. He pointed out that the both incidents had occurred around the same time in the morning.He explained that the fire in the school had led to the displacement of hundreds of students.Many refugee students in Zamzam camp were also expelled from school this week due to non-payment of fees. The activist called on humanitarian organizations and relevant bodies to contribute aid towards rebuilding the destroyed classrooms and staff rooms.
